Started in 2014 our historic market town of Leek plays host to an array of local, national and international talent – showcasing the very best in Blues & Americana music. The Festival is set against a backdrop of independent shops, high street favourites and thriving specialist markets with host venues comprising a mix of real ale pubs, craft beer bars and the community arts centre.

The festival runs over 5 days, with 20+ pubs, bars, cafés and art centres all hosting over 60+ Blues & Americana acts throughout the town centre of Leek. With the introduction of the Sparrow Park Outdoor stage in 2017, they were able to bring the music outside to the good folks of Leek and the Totally Locally Leek Sunday Supplement Market.

Old Smithy Tattoo has been involved with the Festival since 2017, where we were a programme sponsor, and in 2018 we stepped up to sponsor and host the Sparrow Park Outdoor Stage.  With Matt on the mic announcing, we hosted three awesome acts Heidi Browne in the morning with her acoustic chilled out vibes, and then we upped the tempo with the amazingly unique sound of Lil Jim. To finish up we had the foot tapping The Jake Leg Jug Band who got us up and dancing the afternoon away.

With crafts, glitter tattoos and colouring in for the kids and our very own bar provided by Brew Box Bar, everyone had an awesome day as you can see from the pictures and videos below.

We hope you can join us in 2019 when the Festival will be on from Wed 2nd to Sunday 6th October, with the Sparrow Park Outdoor Stage being on the final day Sunday 6th, hope to see you all there!
