May saw me travelling to Antwerp in Belgium for the biannual World Beard & Moustache Championships which saw competitors travelling from all around the globe to compete for the best beard or moustache in the World, including ladies competing in the creative or realistic Beard & Moustache categories.

I Competed in the Partial Freestyle category, which means part of my beard is shaved and I managed to place a respectable joint 6th out of over 20 competitors. The Whole Championships saw over 300 beards and moustaches competing for bragging rights. Team GB came overall 3rd on the medals table, with 3 top spots, 2 silvers and 2 third places, with 2 of our top spots becoming double world champs as they also won last time around when the championships were held in Austin, Texas.

Friday & Saturday were both competitions days, with the realistic and creative categories on Friday evening and the rest of us competing on Saturday.
